rPET resin pellet: five grades
Post-consumer recycled PET resin in pellet, ready to feed your line. Five grades cover intrinsic viscosities (IV) from 0.66 to 0.86 dl/g — sheet and strapping at one end, carbonated bottle at the other — plus an ultra-clear grade and a low-benzene grade. Every grade is 100% recycled, 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR), food grade and offered in crystal only. Quoted and invoiced by Envases y Algo Más, shipped across Mexico and by truckload to the United States. Samples available for evaluation and process trials.

The base grade of our rPET line, in crystal. Without solid-state polymerisation it keeps a medium intrinsic viscosity, which suits extrusion processes that do not need preform-level mechanical strength. Homogeneous pellet, melt-filtered at 60 microns to remove solid contamination, with controlled moisture so it goes straight into the dryer. Food grade, suitable for food contact under 21 CFR 177.1630 and FDA approved; the recycling process holds an FDA Letter of No Objection (LNO).

The most widely used grade in packaging, in crystal. Solid-state polymerisation lifts the intrinsic viscosity into the preform range, so it can run under the same conditions as a virgin bottle resin, on its own or blended. High intrinsic viscosity for containers that work under pressure or with thin walls: carbonated soft drinks, purified water and small returnable bottles. Better stretch resistance during blowing and less wall variation, in crystal. High light transmittance, without the haze that usually gives away a container with recycled content. The grade for beverage and taste-sensitive food: a low-benzene, low-acetaldehyde profile, which is what matters when the container touches the product. Like the whole line, 100% recycled and 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR), in crystal. Food grade, suitable for food contact under 21 CFR 177.1630 and FDA approved; the recycling process holds an FDA Letter of No Objection (LNO). We do send resin samples. Request a sample for evaluation and process trials on your own line before committing volume: run it on your equipment, under your conditions, and we quote on that result.
Buying and delivery
The rPET resin is quoted, invoiced and delivered by Envases y Algo Más — in pesos or US dollars, from any of our six warehouses in Mexico or delivered to your plant. For US buyers we ship by truckload out of Monterrey, roughly 230 km from Laredo, with the technical data sheet and the paperwork your recycled-content claim needs.

How to choose a grade
Two questions settle it. First, does the container touch food? If it does, the grade has to be a food-grade one. Second, what is the process? Extrusion of sheet, strapping or fibre runs on medium viscosity; preform and bottle need a solid-state polymerised grade, and a carbonated bottle needs the highest viscosity of the line. If clarity is what sells the product, the ultra-clear grade is the one; if the recycled-content claim is the point, the 100% PCR grade is.
